The Digital Media Program will host an information session for the 2009 Walt Disney Imagineering Competition on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. in the Large Screening Room, University Crossings (32nd and Market Streets).

The annual Walt Disney Imagineering Competition provides students with an opportunity to design creative and technical concepts for theme parks, attractions, hotels and entertainment venues. The information session will provide an overview of the competition and project deadlines. All competition finalists will win a 10-day all expenses-paid trip to Imagineering Headquarters in Glendale, Calif. to present their project before a panel of Imaginers and to compete for “Best in Show” honors.

The project competition is open to all juniors, seniors and graduate students. Submissions are due no later than January 30, 2009.

Complimentary pizza will be served.

The Digital Media Program is in the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design
