Philly Cocoa Meeting

The next Philly CocoaHeads meeting will be Thursday, February 17th 7-9pm at Indy Hall. Post-meeting drinks commence afterwords; National Mechanics is our usual hangout.

You’ll need to be buzzed up, but if you are having any trouble feel free to call MikeZ’s cell (267-563-0616) and we’ll be sure to get you in.

Google Building Makers on campus

Google will be visiting our college to talk about a relatively new product called “Google Building Maker”.

What is Google Building Maker? Google Building Maker is a web based application that allows you to add a third dimension to Google Maps. It is only available in certain cities, Philadelphia just happens to be one of them! It has applications for engineering, planning design/ construction, as well as digital media/ graphic design/ and film. Please help in spreading the word and forward this to faculty, staff, and students that might be interested.

Date: Monday November 1st, 2010
Location: University Crossings Basement, Large Screening Room (028)
Time: 3:00pm to 5:00pm (presentation), 5:00pm to 6:00pm (hands on demo)
Note: this event is open to Drexel University faculty and students, no need to RSVP.

Talk and Presentation on iPhone Development from Apple

The Department of Computer Science in conjunction with The Drexel Replay Program will be hosting Steve Hayman, a software engineer with the Apple iPhone Group. Steve will give a talk on iPhone development. The presentation will be followed by what we hope is an extended question and answer period with Steve. This is a chance for you to get answers to all the things you wanted know about developing on the iPhone but were afraid to ask!
