Web User Interface – Visual Designer (F/T or P/T)

Intellicomm Inc., a pioneer in hosted unified communications services firm located in King of Prussia (a suburb of Philadelphia), PA, with emphasis on advanced communications software applications, provides online services to mostly business customers. We are seeking an experienced Web User Interface – Visual Designer.

In this position, you will primarily work on the user interface of our online communications services to create new, elegant and polished ways in which the service is presented to our users globally. We are looking for a passionate designer who will lead the effort in creating visually compelling web user interface that is slick and clean looking yet presents the most challenging of features with simplified creative elements. Additional responsibilities will include web design for other Intellicomm properties and general graphic and interactive media design.

This position is for a person who is extremely creative, well versed in contemporary design technologies and understands web design for business applications. We are looking for an individual who is hard working, self-motivated, team player, quality conscious, responsible in meeting deadlines, problem solver with a strong work ethic and a long term player. Selected individual will be one that demonstrates a strong desire to create user interface design that is visually stunning and aims to be better than the best out there.

This position is available on a part-time or full-time basis. Our environment is a small and friendly supportive team environment in an elegant office facility with free parking, free on-site fitness center, on-site café, proximity to public transportation and child care facilities.

Job Responsilities:

• Initiate, conceptualize and lead user interface design based on a thorough understanding of the
• company’s service functionality and usability.
• Translate conceptual design into visually compelling design elements.
• Communicate user interface design implementation to engineering support staff in the form of detailed
• specifications and design documents.
• Design user interface that is consistent with the company and product’s brand strategy.
• Design marketing, pricing and other information web site pages.
• Push the limits of web design and implement best of breed technologies, including but not limited to Web 2.0 technologies.

Position Requirements:

• 3+ years experience in comparable web design roles.
• Bachelor’s degree required in design-related discipline: Graphic or Interface design.
• Expert in Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator or similar software packages.
• Skilled in HTML, XHTML, Javascript, Flash, CSS, AJAX.
• Knowledge of web design in a cross platform environment.
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.

POSITION: Jr Web Designer
COMPANY: LSF Interactive
LOCATION: Conshohocken, PA
REQUIREMENTS: Strong Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver skills. Strong design skills with experience designing websites, landing pages, and/or online banners from start to finish. Strong understanding of both HTML and CSS. Knowledge of advanced programming languages (php, asp, JavaScript, etc) a plus. Basic understanding of Content Management Systems and ability to make changes to website templates within a CMS a plus. Basic understanding of Flash. Willingness to learn basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques. Be able to provide examples of work.
DUTIES: Design and code webpages from scratch using valid HTML & CSS. Will also be responsible for designing and coding new individual webpages on existing client sites that adhere to previously existing look and feel. Design landing pages, online banners, and other online marketing materials for clients. Resize static (image based) and animated (flash based) banners. Learning basic SEO techniques and applying to client websites. Assist with any internal creative and SEO projects.
COMPENSATION: $14-17/hour + benefits/paid time off/vacation days
