The goal of this project is to redesign the Global Basketball Alliance’s website which can be found at http://www.GBAhoops.com . This site needs to be redesigned due to total lack of direction and style. Previously the site was used as an advertisement for the Global Basketball Alliance. The primary purpose of the new website will be to help basketball fans get pumped for Global Basketball Alliance games. The Secondary purpose will be to get try out information to prospective players. The long term goals are to create a timeless design that will excite basketball fans for years to come, and to promote the organization and increase fandom exponentially.

The target audience for this site is basketball enthusiast looking for an alternative to the NBA.

The typical visitor’s task would be to learn more about the teams, players, and the GBA as a whole. Other tasks would be to learn more about purchasing a team sponsorship. The visitors would be interested in the GBA because they are basketball enthusiasts. We are going to get people to visit the new web site through an aggressive advertising campaign.
Pereption/Tone/Guidelines

Our audience will respond to the new site with enthusiasm by visiting frequently. The target audience currently thinks very little of the GBA and is insulted by the current web design. We want our Target audiences to feel enthusiastic. The new website will achieve this goal by making the GBA look like a Serious and entertaining organization. The site should convey a tight color scheme, and navigation that is user friendly.



We will meet our measureable goals through dedication, hard work, and a strict use of deadlines. We are trying to convey the fact that we are a professional basketball association. We will convey this message by creating a website that contains a cutting edge design. We will measure the success of the site by the increase in the number of hits the new site receives.

Competitive Positioning

Competitive Positioning:

The Global Basketball Alliance differs from competition such as the NBA and the WNBA by offering a less corporate basketball experience. Currently our web presence is inferior to our competition. The redesign will combat this problem. There is absolutely nothing successful about the current site.
