Hello Fellow Students,

I am a STAR scholar in the D&M program and since last summer, I have been working on a research project entitled “You are Who You Wear”. I have been studying the lifestyle branding and marketing messages sent out by the top 3 retailers as defined by a survey of D&M UNIV 101 students from AY 07-08. I would  like to expand my research outside the D&M program to compare and contrast attitudes across students in various majors at Drexel.

I am planning to conduct focus groups in the 6th week of the Spring Quarter in order to further my research. I am asking for 6 to 8 volunteers to participate in one or more focus groups. The sessions will be held between Monday, May 4th and Thursday, May 7th in the evenings from approximately 6pm to 8pm. 

Each focus group will be recorded for research purposes only. Each individual will be identified by their specific college at Drexel, all names will be kept anonymous. All records will be kept private and destroyed after five years. The purpose of the focus groups will be to explore the students’ attitude on branding.  There will be 5 to 6 questions to be answered in each focus group. The sessions should last no longer than two hours. All participants will be rewarded with refreshments during the session.
